We recommend using the ShowCaster broadcaster - though advanced users may choose to use a third party encoder such as:
- Flash Media Live Encoder - available free of charge, however you will need to purchase the AAC audio codec from Main Concept if you wish to broadcast to iOS devices.
- Telestream Wirecast - a good solution for multiple cameras, text overlay, picture-in-picture, inserting pre-recorded videos and other advanced functionality.
- Vidblaster - a solution for multiple cameras, text overlay, picture-in-picture, inserting pre-recorded videos and other advanced functionality.
Third party encoders are not officially supported by ShowCaster - but should work fine provided that they can broadcast h.264 video and AAC audio.
You will still need to use the ShowCaster broadcaster to control the start and end of each show - and the broadcaster details the steps and settings for configuring the third party software.
