T4 Stars is a concert / party which runs from Earl’s Court in London. As well as as a large crowd at the venue it was broadcast for 2.5 hours on Channel 4 - with many different stars / musicians were involved. How could Channel 4 engage the audience at home in the excitement and buzz going on backstage? ShowCaster.

‘T4 Stars Live’ was born. The Social Media Factory managed the creative and production elements - and we took care of the technology. T4 Stars Live ran for three hours alongside the TV broadcast - giving the audience a choice as to what they watched.
T4 Stars Live had its own backstage set - with many stars involved throughout the day including The Wanted, Matt Cardle, Professor Green and Rufus. Each interview was led by a presenter - such as Radio 1’s Nick Grimshaw - with comments and questions from viewers at home displayed on an iPad (once they had been moderated by the producers).

We used a three camera set-up - and provided all equipment including the broadcast cameras, lighting, sound, video and audio mixers and broadcast equipment. The broadcast ran over an internet connection from Earl’s Court.

Providing a live glimpse backstage - together with the ability to participate in the show and ask the stars questions - delivered a whole new experience for viewers at home and sets the stage for things to come.
