The goal, the challenge

The Sun regularly has celebrities in their offices for articles and features - and was keen to harness this by embedding live video shows in their website, thesun.co.uk. They were looking for a simple, scalable platform that enabled them to run live shows easily, regularly and at short notice (sometimes stars arrive in the office with no notice!). The first of these shows was Steps, the recently reformed UK band.

How it worked

The Sun used embedded their ShowCaster player in thesun.co.uk - promoting the upcoming show on their homepage.

An iPad was used by the band members to see the questions as they came through from fans - once they had been moderated by The Sun’s editorial team.
